2016 Emily’s Kids “Gold Ribbon Scholarship” Recipient: Sarah Clinard-Duke Children’s Hospital
Sarah was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia shortly after graduating High School. She had already joined the Nation Guard and was going to serve as a Computer Technician Expert. Three short months after she enlisted she was discharged for medical reasons. After being discharged she considered her original career choice in the medical field, but realizing she was spending to much time in hospitals already she decided to pursue a career in Wed Design and computer programming.She is currently enrolled at Piedmont Community College doing just that.Sarah is engaged and plans to get married in late 2017 early 2018. Emily’s Kids Foundation is proud to award Sarah a “Gold Ribbon Scholarship” and we wish her well.
